Deck-Integrated Hot Tub Removal — Rolling Meadows, IL
Project Summary
This spa was sunk into a raised deck, with the decking boards running right up to the shell. The owner had it drained and the electrical disconnected before the crew arrived, which made for a smooth morning.
The crew lifted the decking around the perimeter, freed the shell, cut it into sections and carried them out through the yard gate. We left the deck framing intact and square so the owner's carpenter could deck right over the opening. The old cover, pump pack and plumbing went on the same truck.
Sunken tubs take an extra hour because we open up the deck around them, but they still come out without a crane. We've got that.
