Sheds fail from the floor and the roof at the same time. When yours is past saving, we do the whole job in one visit: empty it (keep pile, junk pile), take the roof, walls and floor apart in sections, pull the base if it's a simple gravel or block pad, and load everything. Metal sheds are cut and folded; resin sheds unclip; wood sheds come apart with a saw and a few crowbars. Most shed jobs we've done in the last 24 months were in the near-west and north suburbs, often paired with a garage cleanout or fence removal on the same day. Metal goes to recycling; wood and shingles to a licensed C&D facility.

What We Take

  • Wood sheds, including framed and shingled roofs
  • Metal sheds and carports
  • Resin and plastic sheds
  • Shed contents — tools, mowers, tires, paint (dried), lumber
  • Wood or gravel bases and floor frames
  • Playhouses, dog runs and small outbuildings
  • Gazebos and pergolas
  • Ramps, shelving and workbenches

How Shed Removal & Demolition Works

  1. 1

    Book a free onsite estimate

Book online, or call or text (312) 800-1940. Pick an arrival window — same-day and next-day are often available, Monday through Saturday.

  2. 2

The crew gives you a firm price on the spot

They look at everything and quote one number that covers labor, loading, hauling and disposal. No obligation: if it doesn't work for you, they leave and there's no charge.

  3. 3

Say yes and it's gone — same visit

The crew carries everything out from wherever it sits, loads it, and sweeps up. Most jobs are finished in that same visit.

  4. 4

You don't even have to be there

If the crew can reach the items — alley, garage, a doorman or a code — they'll do the job while you're at work, send before-and-after photos, and take payment by phone or with a card on file.

Real Jobs, Real Results

Evanston

10x12 Wood Shed Demolished and Hauled — Evanston, IL

An Evanston home had a 10x12 plywood shed with a shingled roof sitting on a concrete slab in the back corner of the yard. The slab was staying. The crew stripped the shingles, took the roof and walls down in panels, and loaded everything. The slab was swept clean at the end. Because the shed had no floor, there was no framing to dig out — a straightforward morning job. If your slab is in good shape, we leave it — most people put a new shed on the same footprint.

Barrington

Two Sheds Plus Contents Removed in One Visit — Barrington, IL

A Barrington home had two sheds to get rid of: an 8x12 wooden shed full of tools and yard gear, and a 10x12 PVC shed near the driveway. Behind the wood shed sat a pile of lumber that had been accumulating for years. The crew emptied the wood shed first, knocked it down, then unclipped and folded the PVC shed. The lumber pile went on the same truck. Two truckloads total. Sheds, their contents and the pile behind them are one job to us. It's cheaper to do it all at once than in two visits.

Shed Removal & Demolition FAQs

Do I need to empty the shed first?

No. Tell us what you're keeping and we'll set those aside; everything else goes with the shed.

Do I need a permit to remove a shed?

Small detached sheds often don't require a demolition permit, but rules vary by municipality and by size. Check with your village or the City of Chicago Department of Buildings if you're unsure; we'll haul whatever comes down.

Can you remove the concrete slab?

Not with our equipment — slab removal requires a jackhammer. We can haul the broken concrete if a contractor breaks it (weight surcharge applies), or leave the slab for a new shed or patio.

Is a shed recyclable?

Metal sheds and frames are recycled. Wood is usually treated or painted and goes to a C&D facility. Resin sheds are not recyclable in this market.

How long does it take?

1–2 hours for a small metal or resin shed; 3–5 hours for a large wood shed with contents.

Free Onsite Estimate, One Firm Price

We don't quote by phone. The crew comes out for free, looks at what's going and how it's getting out — stairs, elevators, heavy material — and gives you one number that covers everything. Say yes and they do the job on the spot. Say no and there's no charge.

  • All labor, lifting & loading
  • Hauling & transport
  • Dismantling in place
  • Full cleanup & sweep-up
  • Disposal & recycling fees

The price is confirmed on site before anything moves — no surprises on the invoice. How our pricing works →
