The pool the kids outgrew, the one that came with the house, the one that cracked over the winter. We dismantle the walls and frame, roll up the liner, and haul it all away, pump, ladder and deck included.
An above-ground pool looks like a big job, but it comes apart faster than you'd think with the right tools and enough hands. Our crews cut and unbolt the steel or resin walls, roll and bag the liner, pull the rails and uprights, and load it all in a couple of hours. If there's a wood deck around it, we take that down too and it goes on the same truck.
We've done 16 pool removals in the last 24 months, mostly across the western and northwestern suburbs, where most of Chicagoland's above-ground pools live. The steel is recycled, and the liner and foam go to disposal. What's left is a sand or gravel base and a circle of bare ground. We can haul the sand as well, or leave it for regrading, whichever you prefer. You don't need to be home for it, either: if the pool is drained and the gate is unlocked, the crew can dismantle and haul it while you're at work and text you photos once the yard is clear.

One firm price for the whole job on arrival. If you'd like the sand base hauled too, they'll include that in the estimate.
Cut, unbolt, roll, load. A 24-foot round pool with a small deck is typically a few hours of work, and it's work we enjoy.
We sweep up the hardware and leave the base. Level it with topsoil and seed, and by next summer you'll never know it was there.

Not with our trucks. In-ground removal is excavation work (breaking the shell, backfilling and compacting). We can haul the deck, fencing, equipment and any debris around it, and we're glad to refer you to an excavation contractor for the shell.
Chlorine, shock and algaecide are household hazardous waste. Chicago residents can bring them to the city's facility at 1150 N. North Branch St., and suburban residents can use their county's household hazardous waste program. We aren't able to transport them.
Yes, with a weight surcharge, since sand is heavy. A lot of people spread it into the lawn or use it as a patio base instead, and the crew is happy to talk through both options with you.

The crew comes out for free, looks at what's going and how it's getting out (stairs, elevators, heavy material and all), and gives you one price that covers everything.
