Appliances are heavy, awkward, and can't just go in a landfill. We've removed over 380 appliances in the last 24 months, from basement chest freezers to commercial kitchen equipment. Disconnect the water, gas or power (or have your installer do it) and we'll do the carrying, the dolly work and the stairs. Every appliance we pick up goes to a local recycler who handles it responsibly — the metal is recovered and the rest is processed the right way. Nothing gets left in an alley.

How Appliance Removal & Recycling Works

  1. 1

    Book a free onsite estimate

Book online, or call or text (312) 800-1940. Pick an arrival window — same-day and next-day are often available, Monday through Saturday.

  2. 2

The crew gives you a firm price on the spot

They look at everything and quote one number that covers labor, loading, hauling and disposal. No obligation: if it doesn't work for you, they leave and there's no charge.

  3. 3

Say yes and it's gone — same visit

The crew carries everything out from wherever it sits, loads it, and sweeps up. Most jobs are finished in that same visit.

  4. 4

You don't even have to be there

If the crew can reach the items — alley, garage, a doorman or a code — they'll do the job while you're at work, send before-and-after photos, and take payment by phone or with a card on file.

Real Jobs, Real Results

Chicago — Beverly

Refrigerator, California King Bed and Mattress Removed — Beverly, Chicago

A Beverly home had three heavy things going at once: an old side-by-side refrigerator in the basement, a California king bed with a solid headboard and footboard, and a queen mattress and box spring from a second bedroom. The crew unplugged and dollied the fridge up the basement stairs, broke the bed frame down, and carried the mattress set out. The fridge went to a local appliance recycler. A fridge in the basement plus a bedroom set is a typical half-truck job — and far cheaper as one visit than three separate pickups.

Appliance Removal & Recycling FAQs

Do I need to disconnect the appliance first?

Yes — unplug electric appliances, and have gas lines and water lines shut off and disconnected before we arrive. We don't do plumbing, gas or electrical work. If a stove is still connected to gas, we'll have to leave it.

Where do the appliances go?

To a local recycler who recycles them responsibly. That's included in the price.

Does Chicago pick up appliances on garbage day?

No. Refrigerators and other white goods require a 311 bulk pickup request and often a wait. ComEd has periodically run a fridge recycling program — worth checking if you're not in a hurry.

Do you take a working appliance?

Yes. If it works and is reasonably current we'll try to re-home it rather than scrap it.

Can you get a washer out of a basement?

Yes. Basement appliances are routine — the crew sizes up the stairs as part of the estimate.

Do I need to be home?

No — and a lot of our customers aren't. If the crew can reach the item (alley, garage, porch, a doorman or a door code), they text you the price for a yes, do the job, send before-and-after photos, and take payment by phone or card on file.

Free Onsite Estimate, One Firm Price

We don't quote by phone. The crew comes out for free, looks at what's going and how it's getting out — stairs, elevators, heavy material — and gives you one number that covers everything. Say yes and they do the job on the spot. Say no and there's no charge.

  • All labor, lifting & loading
  • Hauling & transport
  • Dismantling in place
  • Full cleanup & sweep-up
  • Disposal & recycling fees

The price is confirmed on site before anything moves — no surprises on the invoice. How our pricing works →
