Hot Tub Removal from an Enclosed Sunroom — Chicago (Norwood Park)

A Northwest Side home had a full-size hot tub sitting inside an enclosed sunroom off the back of the house. Drained and disconnected, it just couldn't leave — every doorway was narrower than the tub. The crew cut the acrylic shell and the cedar-look cabinet into sections inside the room, carried them out through the house door, and loaded them on the truck. The pump, heater and metal frame were pulled for scrap; the shell and foam went to disposal. Hot tubs that came in during construction can still come out — the crew cuts them into pieces that fit through whatever door you have.

Deck-Integrated Hot Tub Removal — Rolling Meadows, IL

This spa was sunk into a raised deck, with decking boards running right up to the shell. The tub was drained and the electrical disconnected before the crew arrived. The crew lifted the decking boards around the perimeter, freed the shell, cut it into sections and carried them out through the yard gate. We left the deck framing intact and square so the owner's carpenter could deck over the opening. The old tub cover, pump pack and plumbing went on the same truck. Sunken tubs take an extra hour because we have to open the deck around them — but they still come out without a crane.

Rooftop Deck Demolition and Removal — Lincoln Park, Chicago

A Lincoln Park home needed an entire rooftop deck — roughly 800 square feet of decking, joists, railings, lattice screens and planters — removed down to the roof membrane. Everything had to come down three stories by hand — no crane, no chute, a residential alley. Our crew broke the deck down into carryable sections on the roof, walked them down the back stairs, and loaded them in the alley. The roof was swept clean and the skylight and parapet were untouched. Rooftop and upper-floor decks are a hand-carry job. The crew prices that labor honestly up front instead of surprising you with an hourly bill.
