A couch is the single item we're asked to remove most: over 1,400 couch pickups in the last 24 months. It's also the item most likely to get stuck in a stairwell, which is why people call us instead of a friend with a truck. Our crews know the tricks — stand it on end, take the legs off, unbolt a sectional, pull the door pins — and if it truly won't go, we cut it apart and carry it out in pieces. That happens more often than you'd think. Couches are hard to re-home and impossible to recycle whole, so most go to a licensed disposal facility after we strip the metal frames and springs for recycling. If a couch is clean and structurally sound, we'll try to find it a home first.

How much does it cost?
We don't quote by phone — the crew gives you one firm, no-obligation price when they see the couch and the route out. Stairs, elevators and heavy items are part of that estimate, so the price they quote is the price you pay. If it doesn't work for you, there's no charge.
Can you get a couch out that won't fit down the stairs?
Yes. We remove legs, unbolt sectionals, and if there's no other way we cut the frame and carry it out in pieces. We do this regularly.
Will you donate my couch?
If it's clean and sound we'll try to re-home it, but most used upholstered furniture has no takers. We're honest about this: most couches end up disposed of, with the metal recycled.
Can you take a couch with bedbugs?
Once it's been treated by a pest company, yes. We don't remove untreated infested items. After treatment, the crew bags and wraps the couch for extra protection on the way out.
Do I need to be home?
No — and a lot of our customers aren't. If the crew can reach the item (alley, garage, porch, a doorman or a door code), they text you the price for a yes, do the job, send before-and-after photos, and take payment by phone or card on file.
Can I schedule it for the same day my new couch is delivered?
Yes — that's a common request. Book a window before the delivery and we'll clear the space.
