Big wooden playsets are held together by a few hundred bolts and the determination of whoever assembled them years ago. Our crews come with impact drivers and saws, take the structure down in sections, and load it on the truck along with the slide, the swings and the rubber mulch if you'd like it gone. Metal swing sets and trampolines are quicker: unbolt, fold, load.
We've removed 24 playsets, swing sets and trampolines in the last 24 months, and it's a fun one for the crew. Metal is recycled; treated lumber and plastic slides go to a licensed facility. If the yard is accessible, you don't need to be home: unlock the gate, and the crew can take the set down, load it and text you a photo of the bare lawn.

Can you remove the anchors or the concrete footings?
Playset anchors are usually spikes or small poured pads we can pull without any trouble. In-ground basketball posts set in a big concrete footing we cut flush at ground level; digging out a large footing is an excavation job.
Do you take the rubber mulch or sand under it?
Yes, by the truckload. It's often more than you'd guess, since a play area can hold a cubic yard or two, and the crew will include it in the estimate if you want it gone.
Is the wood recyclable?
Most playsets are pressure-treated, or cedar with treated posts. Treated wood can't be recycled or burned, so it goes to a licensed facility. The metal parts are recycled.
Can I sell or donate a playset instead?
If it's structurally sound, sure. Post it free on a neighborhood group and someone may come dismantle it and take it. If it's showing rot or wobble, removal is the safer route, and we're happy to help.
How long does it take?
Trampolines about 30 minutes. Wooden playsets a few hours, depending on the size.
