Upright Piano Down Three Flights — Logan Square, Chicago
Project Summary
A Logan Square resident had an upright piano on the third floor of a walk-up and nobody willing to move it. The only route out was the rear wooden staircase, three flights down to the alley. Our crew was happy to take that on.
They brought it down with a piano board and straps, one landing at a time, and loaded it in the alley. The cast-iron plate and strings went to scrap, and the case went to disposal.
Upper-floor pianos take more hands and more care than ground-floor ones, and the crew's onsite estimate accounts for every one of those stairs.
