Exercise Equipment Removal in Chicago
The treadmill became a clothes rack, then a problem. It weighs 250 pounds, it's in the basement, and nobody will buy it. We carry it up and out.

Home fitness equipment is the classic hard-to-get-rid-of item: too heavy to move alone, too bulky for the trash, and worth too little to sell once it's a few years old. We've removed over 120 treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and home gyms in the last 24 months, most of them from basements and second floors. If a machine still works and is reasonably current, we'll try to re-home it (see our guide on where to donate fitness equipment in Chicago). If not, we break it down and recycle the steel — a treadmill frame is mostly scrap metal — and dispose of the belt, deck and electronics properly.

How Exercise Equipment Removal Works
-
1
Book a free onsite estimate
Book online, or call or text (312) 800-1940. Pick an arrival window — same-day and next-day are often available, Monday through Saturday.
-
2
The crew gives you a firm price on the spot
They look at everything and quote one number that covers labor, loading, hauling and disposal. No obligation: if it doesn't work for you, they leave and there's no charge.
-
3
Say yes and it's gone — same visit
The crew carries everything out from wherever it sits, loads it, and sweeps up. Most jobs are finished in that same visit.
-
4
You don't even have to be there
If the crew can reach the items — alley, garage, a doorman or a code — they'll do the job while you're at work, send before-and-after photos, and take payment by phone or with a card on file.
Exercise Equipment Removal (Treadmills, Ellipticals, Pelotons) FAQs
How much does it cost?
We don't quote by phone — the crew gives you one firm, no-obligation price when they see the machine and the route out. Stairs, elevators and heavy items are part of that estimate, so the price they quote is the price you pay. If it doesn't work for you, there's no charge.
Can I donate exercise equipment instead?
Sometimes. Working, recent machines can be accepted by some charities and community gyms, but many decline anything heavy or older. Our donation guide lists who takes what in Chicago. If it's not working, removal is the realistic option.
Do you take weight plates and dumbbells?
Yes. They're dense, so a large set carries a weight surcharge — the crew will tell you on arrival.
Do you disassemble equipment to get it out?
Yes, when needed. Most treadmills fold or come apart at the uprights; home gyms we unbolt.
Do you take equipment from condo and apartment building fitness rooms?
Yes — property managers use us for fitness-room refreshes. Invoiced, with a COI for the building.
Do I need to be home?
No — and a lot of our customers aren't. If the crew can reach the item (alley, garage, porch, a doorman or a door code), they text you the price for a yes, do the job, send before-and-after photos, and take payment by phone or card on file.
Free Onsite Estimate, One Firm Price
We don't quote by phone. The crew comes out for free, looks at what's going and how it's getting out — stairs, elevators, heavy material — and gives you one number that covers everything. Say yes and they do the job on the spot. Say no and there's no charge.
