A hoarded home doesn't get cleared in an afternoon by a friend with a pickup truck. It takes a crew that knows how to work room by room, keep what matters, and treat the person who lives there with real kindness.

Full service: all the lifting, hauling and disposal included
Most of the hoarding cleanouts we do start with a phone call from an adult child, a sibling, a landlord or a social worker, someone who has been putting this off because it feels overwhelming. It is a big job. It's also a job we know how to break into manageable pieces: one room at a time, with the family deciding what stays, and our crew doing all the lifting, bagging and hauling.
Our crews are very conscious of the emotions involved in a hoarding situation. They don't comment, they don't rush anyone through a decision about a box of photographs, and they work as discreetly as they possibly can. If a property has to be cleared quickly for a sale or an inspection, we can put multiple crews on it and finish in a day or two. If it needs to go slower, we're happy to schedule it in stages.
What We Take
Accumulated household items, papers and bags
Furniture, mattresses and appliances buried under the clutter
Spoiled food, expired goods and packaging
Clothing, books and collections that won't be kept
Damaged flooring, drywall or fixtures once the space is clear
Garage, basement, attic and storage-unit overflow
Yard accumulation and outbuildings
Whole houses' worth of contents, in stages if that helps
How Hoarding Cleanouts Works
1
A private conversation first
Call or text (312) 800-1940. Tell us as much or as little as you'd like, and we'll set up a visit. The crew looks at the property and gives you a firm price in person, with no obligation at all.
2
A plan you control
Together we agree on what's being kept (or a keep-pile area), which rooms come first, and how fast to go. We can keep an eye out for specific things, like documents, jewelry or photos, as we work.
3
A crew that carries everything
Our people bag, box, carry and load. You don't lift a thing. We bring multiple crews and trucks for larger properties.
4
A livable space again
We sweep and leave the rooms cleared. If the home needs deep cleaning or repairs afterward, we'll tell you what we saw so you can bring in the right trade.

We were called about a second-floor apartment in West Town where years of papers, mail, packaging and expired food had built up. The goal was to make the unit livable and safe again without throwing away anything that mattered.
The largest estate cleanout we completed this summer: a full Hyde Park house, basement, first floor and second floor. Every room was full, and several were floor to ceiling. A job like this is where our crews really shine.
A Woodlawn basement had absorbed everything over the years: exercise equipment, paneling and plywood from an old finished-basement project, furniture, luggage, holiday decorations, even bowling pins and an artificial palm tree.
Our crews understand how sensitive these situations are. They work quietly, they don't discuss the job, and they can come early or late if that helps. If discretion matters to you, just say so when you call and we'll do everything we can.
Can we keep things? How do you know what to throw away?
You decide, always. We set up keep areas and check with you before anything questionable goes in a bag. If you can't be there, you can appoint someone or give us a written list of what to look for.
Can you find important documents or valuables?
Yes. Tell us what we're looking for, whether that's passports, deeds, jewelry or photos, and the crew sorts with that in mind and sets aside whatever they find.
How long does a hoarding cleanout take?
A single room or apartment is often one day. A full house at a heavy hoarding level is typically two to four days with multiple crews. We'll give you a realistic estimate once we've seen the property.
How much does a hoarder cleanout cost?
The crew looks at the property and gives you one firm price before anything moves. For a home that will take several truckloads over several days, we agree on the price per truck up front so nobody is surprised on the last day.
Do you handle biohazards or pest problems?
We clear the contents. If there's an active infestation, animal waste or biohazard contamination, we'll coordinate with a specialized remediation company and let you know what they need to do first.
Can a landlord hire you for a hoarder cleanout?
Yes, within the law. Landlords and property managers hire us once an eviction or move-out is complete. Our eviction cleanout page has more.
How do I bring it up with my parent or family member?
Gently, and with a plan. It helps to frame it around a goal, like safety, a visit or a sale, rather than the mess itself. We're always happy to talk through what the day would look like so you can describe it to them.
We don't quote by phone, because we'd rather give you a number we can stand behind. The crew comes out for free, looks at what's going and how it's getting out (stairs, elevators, heavy material and all), and gives you one price that covers everything. Say yes and they do the job right then. Say no and there's no charge, no hard feelings.
The price is confirmed on site before anything moves, so there are no surprises on the invoice. How our pricing works →
